The updated registration and administration rules for the .GE domain include a transit procedure, which implies the temporary management of the domain names in the registrar’s portfolio by the registry.
The accredited company must provide registration services to the registrants in compliance with the registrar’s agreement. If one of the registrars discontinues functioning, the registry will recover the domain names from the registrar’s portfolio through the transit procedure, and provide the registrants with temporary profiles on the registry’s web page.
The registrant must transfer the domain to the desired registrar within 30 days. In the case of transit, the registrant is exempt from transfer fees.
